The first question many prospective students ask is, "What are my financial options"?
There is help. Anyone who is a Canadian resident may apply for financial assistance through a number of sources, depending on his/her personal circumstances. Financial assistance may be available for tuition only, tuition plus textbooks, or even tuition plus living expenses.
If qualified, you may be eligible for assistance under the following programs:
Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP): Administers Canadian Students.
Financial Assistance Program and/or Ontario Student Loans Plan.
Human Resources & Skill Development (HRSDC): Administers customized assistance programs.
Métis Training Initiative (MTI): Administers various training options to those with at least 25% Aboriginal ancestry.
Native Band Funding: Administers various training options to registered Aboriginals and Inuit.
Workplace Safety and Insurance Board: May provide funding to re-train injured workers for new careers.
